The UK is moving to digital phone lines area by area. From 31 December 2025 copper is legacy with limited repair support. From 1 January 2027 the copper network is fully switched off.
From 1 January 2026, providers may receive as little as three months notice to move remaining copper customers. Lines not upgraded may be disconnected with limited notice.
You may receive letters from your current provider with dates. Tell us before you order if there is a care alarm on site, and speak with your alarm provider to confirm compatibility. Hybrid Home2Phone does not support care alarms.
