Don't worry. Call divert sends your home phone calls to another number, such as a mobile, when you choose.

Divert is useful when you are away or if a mobile is easier to reach.
Forgotten divert is a common reason calls do not ring at home.
Charges may apply for diverted calls depending on your tariff.
What you'll need
- Home phone with dial tone
- The number to divert to, such as your mobile
- Divert codes from your welcome pack
Before you begin
- Write codes on a card near the phone.
- Test when you have time to call back and cancel.
Set up call divert
Find divert codes in your welcome letter or phone features overview.
From your home phone, dial the activate divert code and the target number.
Listen for confirmation tone or message.
Ask someone to call your home number to test divert works.
Dial the cancel divert code when you want home phones to ring again.
Check divert is off if incoming calls suddenly stop at home.
What success looks like
Calls to your home number ring on the diverted phone while divert is active, and ring at home again after you cancel.
Common mistakes
- Leaving divert on permanently by accident.
- Diverting to a number that itself goes to voicemail only.
- Entering the mobile number without the full UK code.
