Make a test call to confirm everything works. For Physical line customers. Wait until the broadband light is steady green before testing.

Pick up the phone on Phone1. You may hear silence or dial tone on digital lines. Both can be normal.
Dial a full UK mobile number including the area code. Press send or call if your phone has that button, then wait for ringing or dialling tones.
Ask someone to call your home number back within five minutes.
Check the phone rings and caller display shows their number if supported.
