Find the right socket
-
Wait until the broadband light on the front of the box is green.
You should see a steady green broadband or internet light before testing your phone.
Find the power socket and the internet port (DSL or WAN). Do not plug the phone into these.
-
Find the socket labelled Phone1, phone, or tel on the back of the box.
You should see a small phone socket separate from the larger internet port.
-
Plug the supplied handset adapter into Phone1 until it clicks.
The adapter should sit firmly in Phone1 with no gap at the socket.
-
Plug your home phone into the other end of the handset adapter.
Your phone cable should run from the adapter to your handset, not to a wall socket or filter phone port.
