More detail
Home2Phone uses equipment we supply, a Geemarc GSM box or a GSM handset with the SIM inside.
Home2Phone uses the same SIM-based service as Home2Mobile. We supply the equipment: either a Geemarc GSM box (a landline handset plugs into the phone socket) or a GSM cordless handset with the SIM already inside. We only support equipment and handsets sold by Simple Telecoms as part of your package.
Connect your phone step by step
-
Find the small rounded power button sticking out on the left side of the Geemarc box.
You should feel the button on the left edge of the box.
-
Press and hold that button until the Wi-Fi light and/or 4G light turns on, then let go.
You should see the Wi-Fi or 4G light come on while you are holding the button.
-
Wait without pressing again if all lights go off and then come back on. This is normal.
The lights should settle within a few minutes.
-
Check the Wi-Fi light and/or 4G light, not the power light, to know the box is on.
You should see the Wi-Fi or 4G light lit when the box is working.
-
If you have the Geemarc box: plug a landline handset we supplied into the phone socket once the Wi-Fi or 4G light is lit.
Your phone cable should run from the box to the handset we supplied, not to a wall socket.
-
If you have a GSM handset from us: power it on and wait for signal bars on the display.
You should see mobile signal bars on the handset screen.
If you have the Geemarc box, use a landline handset we supplied with your package. We do not support other handsets plugged into the Geemarc box.
Connect the antenna on the Geemarc box if your model has a separate one.
Pick up the phone and make a short test call.
Make a short test call to a mobile number you know.
If there is no dial tone on the Geemarc box, check the Wi-Fi or 4G light is lit, move the box near a window, and restart it. See How Hybrid (Home2Phone) works
