More detail
Your landline number is on a SIM in your mobile phone.
Home2Mobile uses the same SIM-based service as Home2Phone, with your landline number on a SIM for inbound and outbound calls. We send the SIM only; you put it in your own mobile phone.
What you'll need
- The SIM we sent you
- Your unlocked mobile phone
Before you begin
- Check the SIM pack matches your welcome letter.
- Make sure your phone is unlocked if you did not buy it from us.
Set up your phone
Insert the SIM into your unlocked mobile phone if not already done.
Power on your phone and wait for it to connect to the mobile network.
Check you have signal bars on the screen.
Make sure airplane mode is off.
Make a short test call to a mobile number you know.
Make a short test call to a mobile you have with you.
Ask someone to call your home number to confirm incoming calls work.
What success looks like

Common mistakes
- Expecting a router or wall socket. Home2Mobile is SIM-only.
- Putting the SIM in a locked phone from another network.
