Don't worry on your first day. This checklist walks you through everything from opening the box to making your first call.

Connect the router at the main phone socket or fibre box. See Setting up your router or adapter box
Wait until the broadband light is steady green. On your start date, service may not go live until 6pm.
Plug the handset adapter into Phone1, then plug your phone into the adapter.
Pick up the phone. You may hear silence or dial tone on digital lines. Both can be normal.
Dial a full UK mobile number including the area code. Press send or call if your phone has that button, then wait for ringing or dialling tones.
Ask someone to call your home number back.
