Don't worry about the cables. Setting up your router or adapter box is mostly plugging in power and internet in the right order, at the right socket in your home.
Quick answer
Home2Phone does not use a broadband router. We supply a Geemarc GSM box or a GSM handset with the SIM inside.

Home2Phone and Home2Mobile work the same way, with your landline number on a SIM using the mobile network for inbound and outbound calls. Call quality depends on local mobile signal for both. The difference is equipment only. See hybrid home phone how it works for Geemarc power-on steps. Full manufacturer guide (PDF): Geemarc Home2Phone user guide.
Set up your box step by step
-
Find the small rounded power button sticking out on the left side of the Geemarc box.
You should feel the button on the left edge of the box.
-
Press and hold that button until the Wi-Fi light and/or 4G light turns on, then let go.
You should see the Wi-Fi or 4G light come on while you are holding the button.
-
Wait without pressing again if all lights go off and then come back on. This is normal.
The lights should settle within a few minutes.
-
Check the Wi-Fi light and/or 4G light, not the power light, to know the box is on.
You should see the Wi-Fi or 4G light lit when the box is working.
Geemarc box: plug into mains where mobile signal is good, often near a window. Attach the antenna if separate.
Geemarc box: connect a landline handset we supplied to the phone socket once the Wi-Fi or 4G light is lit.
If you have the Geemarc box, use a landline handset we supplied with your package. We do not support other handsets plugged into the Geemarc box.
If you have a GSM cordless handset from us, switch it on with its power button and check signal bars on the display. We only support GSM handsets supplied by Simple Telecoms as part of your package.
